We remember by sound.
Most events forget that.

Almost everything you remember, you remember by sound. The main theme to Mission Impossible plays and your brain is already on a cliffside with Ethan Hunt. The Imperial March hits and you are watching stormtroopers march in formation. The sound arrives first, the picture follows.

Events are no different. The reason some galas, conferences, and product launches live in someone's head for years while others get forgotten within a week comes down to whether the room had a sound of its own.

A DJ gives you a playlist. A composer gives you an identity. Stock music gives you forgettable. A score, written for your event the way a score is written for a movie, gives you something people walk out humming and bring up at next year's dinner.

That's what this is. Original music written around the DNA of your event, designed so the sound playing when your audience walks in is the sound they remember when they think back.

Who's Behind the Score

Two people. One standard.

Tyler Riggs
Founder
Tyler started as a composer and still thinks like one. He runs Bookends day to day: discovery calls, briefs, composer direction, client relationships. He's the person you'll talk to from first call to final file, and the translation layer between what you're trying to create and what a composer can execute. He stays hands-on through every checkpoint so the result actually sounds like your event.

What you get

A complete score, scoped to your event.

The Overture
Music for the room as people arrive and find their seats. Sets the temperature of the event before the first speaker takes the stage.
Entrance Theme
A full branded opener for when the lights come up. The first thing your audience hears in the show proper, designed to tell them they're in the right place.
Speaker Motifs
Individualized cues for each key speaker taking the stage. Short, memorable, and built so the audience associates the music with the person carrying it.
Transitions
Short stingers between segments and breaks. Keeps the energy moving and gives the room a clean reset without dead air.
Atmospheric Beds
Loopable underscore for networking sessions and the mid-event lulls. Original, unobtrusive, and unlike anything on a stock library.
The Finale
A closing theme that lands the event and sends people home remembering it. The melody that follows them out the door and into the parking lot.

From discovery to delivery, in six phases.

Every event package runs the same path. Custom output, predictable process. You always know where things stand.

01
Day 0  ·  Discovery
The Discovery Call
A 60-minute call. We talk through the event from start to finish. The speakers, the moments that matter, the feeling you want people walking out with. We take notes and translate everything into a creative brief.
02
Week 1  ·  Theme Selection
Three Themes. You Pick One.
We translate your brief into a theme and open it to our roster of composers. They submit their best take on it. We listen to everything, filter it down to three, and you pick the one that feels most like your event. That piece becomes the DNA of the entire score. Every cue and motif from here forward grows out of it.
03
Week 2  ·  The Brief
Scoping the Full Score
Once your theme is chosen, we sit down with the composer who wrote it and brief them on the full picture. Every moment in the event gets mapped to a piece of music. They know exactly what to build and why. You never deal with them directly. We do.
04
Weeks 3–8  ·  Production
Six Weeks of Composing
Your composer builds the full score. We are in it with them every week, steering direction, unblocking problems, and shaping the work in real time.
05
Days 36, 50, and 75  ·  Checkpoints
Three Moments to Weigh In
At Day 36, you hear the key pieces and confirm the direction feels right. At Day 50, you review the near-complete score and give your final notes on structure. At Day 75, it's final polish only. Each checkpoint narrows the window, by design. Your input is most valuable early, and the process is built to make sure you use it.
06
Weeks 11–13  ·  Delivery
The Final Score, in Your Hands
QA passes, final polish, and the complete score delivered in every format you need. You walk into event day with the sound completely handled.

Priced like a score, not a service.

You're paying for an original work that exists only because your event exists. The investment reflects that, and the 90-day lead time exists so the score gets the time it deserves.

Lead time is measured from the day your deposit clears to the date of your event. This is non-negotiable. A score needs time to breathe.
